Sikkim-Darjeeling Delight

Tshangu Lake (12400Ft / 3780 Mts / 43 Kms / 02 Hrs Drive one way) & New Baba Mandir (13100 Ft / 3994 Mts / 18 Kms / 01 Hrs further drive from Tshangu Lake)

After a hearty breakfast, get ready for an exhilarating full-day excursion to Tshangu Lake and New Baba Mandir. Tshangu Lake, situated at an altitude of 12400 feet (3780 meters), is renowned for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking surroundings. From there, proceed to New Baba Mandir, a sacred shrine dedicated to Baba Harbhajan Singh, a revered Indian Army soldier. After a day filled with exploration and awe-inspiring vistas, return to Gangtok for an overnight stay at your hotel.

Note:

1. Documents for Tshangu Lake & New Baba Mandir – 02 Passport Size Photo along with Photo Copy of Photo ID Proof (Passport or Driving License or Voter ID (Pan Card &Adhaar Card is not accepted). For Children below 18 years, Date of Birth certificate written in English is mandatory along with School Id / College Id as supporting document. Original to be brought with self while travelling.

2. Incase visit to Tshangu Lake is not possible, due to landslide or any other unforeseen reasons, alternative sightseeing will be provide.

3. Process for Foreigner, OCI & PIO Card holder are completely different, kindly inform us well in advance to plan out the itinerary accordingly.

Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts, 116Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before checking out and embarking on a half-day sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Explore attractions such as the Flower Show, Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom, Do-rul Chhorten, Research Institute of Tibetology, and Banjhakari Falls, immersing yourself in the rich culture and natural beauty of the region. Later, continue your journey to Pelling, located at an altitude of 5500 feet (1675 meters). The drive takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, offering mesmerizing views of the Himalayan landscape. Upon arrival in Pelling, check into your hotel and unwind for the night.

Note:

1. Alternative sightseeing of Bakthang Waterfalls&Ropeway (If operational, ticket on direct payment basis)will be provided incase of Research Institute of Tibetology & Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom is closed.

Pelling (5500 Ft / 1675 Mts)

After Breakfast, start your another day of exploration in Pelling, starting with a visit to the iconic Pemayangtse Monastery, one of the oldest and most significant monasteries in Sikkim. Marvel at the Chenrezig Statue & Skywalk, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After lunch, set out to explore Rimbi Waterfall, Khecheopalri Lake, and Kanchanjunga Waterfall, immersing yourself in the natural splendor of Pelling. Return to your hotel for a peaceful overnight stay.

Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mts, 125Kms / 05 to 06 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, bid farewell to Pelling as you embark on a scenic drive to Darjeeling, the "Queen of the Hills." The journey takes approximately 5 to 6 hours, offering stunning views of lush tea estates and misty mountains. Upon arrival in Darjeeling, check into your hotel and spend the evening at leisure, exploring the quaint streets and soaking in the colonial charm of this hill station.

Darjeeling (6710 Ft / 2046 Mt)

Early morning at around 0400am (subject to clear weather) for visit to Tiger Hills (8482 Ft / 2586 Mts) to view the sunrise over mighty Kanchendzonga Peak (Third highest peak in the world). Back to hotel for breakfast.

- After breakfast go for a half-day sightseeing of local Darjeeling covering Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda,Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday, Local Festival and State & National Govt. holidays), Tenzing&Gombu Rock and Panoramic tour of Tea Estate.

- Back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Note:

1. * Tiger Hill visit is subjected to availability of coupons, as only 600 vehicles are allowed in the morning. In case of non availability of coupons we will provide the Tiger Hill visit after breakfast.

New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) / Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (413 Ft / 126 Mts, 100 Kms / 03 to 04 Hrs drive)

After breakfast, check out from your hotel and proceed to New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB) for your onward journey, carrying with you cherished memories of your exploration of Sikkim and Darjeeling.

1. * For Pashupati Nagar visit (Indo-Nepal border) for shopping, our vehicle will stop at the Indian side of the boarder & the guest will have to walk to the Nepalese side of the border, where they can easily hire a local taxi which will cost INR 400 to 500 one way to drop the guest at Market. The guest can also easily walk to reach the market which is just 2 Kms from the boarder gate.
